Cubs sign RHP Baker to a one-year deal

After a seven-year career with the Minnesota Twins that ended with Tommy John surgery on his right elbow last spring, starter Scott Baker has signed a one-year deal with the Cubs worth $5.5 million with incentives that could push it to $7 million.
