Honor for Warren boys soccer champs

By

Warren Township High School’s boys soccer state championship team will be formally recognized at a school board meeting this month. Mark Pos, the athletic director for Gurnee-based Warren District 121, said the elected officials intend to host the squad at the Nov. 20 session. He said he also plans to contact Gurnee Mayor Kristina Kovarik about bringing the boys to a village board meeting in the near future. Kovarik this week said the village wanted to be part of recognizing the boys soccer champs. On Nov. 3, Warren Blue Devils took the Class 3A boys soccer state title with a 2-1 overtime victory over Naperville Central High School.
