So another election is in the books. One of the worst states in the union gave more power to the group that continues to deliver nothing but economic disaster.
I am starting to believe Winston Churchill when he said "the biggest argument against Democracy is a five-minute conversation with the average voter."
Good news is that after looking at the 300-plus-page Lake County budget proposal (can't understand why the average person does not participate in the process with documents this lengthy), we spent $70,000 on bilingual voting requirements, but we cut back on the "I VOTED" stickers. Seems like a simple sticker, but one that is worn with pride -- no matter what the outcome of an election is.
