Building a powerhouse, brick by brick, at Lake Zurich

A cinder block structure resides in the North end zone of the Lake Zurich football stadium. Goals are written on the blocks as well as on the boards that hold them up. At the end of the season, all of the players' bricks get placed between the cinder blocks. The tradition began the year LZ won state, in 2007.
