Free health screening

Rosalind Franklin University Health System’s mobile health unit, Community Care Connection, will be at Central Lake YMCA, 700 Lakeview Parkway, Vernon Hills, on Monday, Nov. 12, from 4 to 6:30 p.m. Blood pressure, blood sugar/diabetes and cholesterol screenings plus BMI (body mass index) and waist measurements will be available to persons of all ages free. Those with questions about healthy eating can get answers from the registered nurse onboard. The Community Care Connection takes its last patient 15 minutes before the close of each site, if space is available. Screenings are on a first-come, first-served basis so interested persons should arrive as early as possible during each visit. For information about the Community Care Connection or its schedule, visit www.rfuhealthsystem.com or call (847) 578-8670.
