Chicago man charged in Hanover Park sexual assault case

A Chicago man has been charged in connection with the sexual assault of a minor that occurred in Hanover Park, according to a Hanover Park news release.

Jarick Harris, 19, of the 1000 block of Vermont Avenue, was charged with one count of predatory criminal sexual assault of a juvenile under the age of 13.

Hanover Park police began an investigation of the assault on Oct. 13 and the Cook County State’s Attorney’s Office approved a Class X felony charge against Harris.

During a hearing Tuesday at the Cook County Court House in Rolling Meadows, Harris’ bail was set at $10,000. His next court date is Nov. 29.
