The Arlington Heights Memorial Library is having a holiday book drive through Dec. 1.

The library is collecting new books for children from infancy to age 16 for Wheeling Township's holiday Adopt-a-Family program.

People can bring books to the collection bin by the self-checkout desk at the library, 500 N. Dunton Ave., Arlington Heights.

Books also can be dropped off at one of the library's community collection partners: California Pizza Kitchen, 3 S. Evergreen Ave.; Mariano's Fresh Market, 802 E. Northwest Highway; Northwest Speech and Hearing Center in the Busse Center at Northwest Community Hospital, 880 W. Central Road; Tuscan Market & Wine Shop, 141 W. Wing Street; and the Chamber of Commerce Professional Women's Council, 311 South Arlington Heights Road.
