Severe weather delays Iowa-Indiana kickoff

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. — The kickoff of Saturday's Iowa-Indiana Big Ten game has been delayed because of severe weather around Bloomington.

The game was originally scheduled to begin at 2:30 p.m. EDT, but lightning in the area pushed the start time back.

After the original delay to a 3:12 p.m. kickoff, Indiana came out for warm-ups before leaving the field. The kickoff was then moved back again to 3:42 p.m. EDT.

The Hoosiers (3-5, 1-3) are coming off a 31-17 win at Illinois last week to snap an 11-game Big Ten losing streak. Iowa (4-4, 2-2), which will play Saturday without injured running back Mark Weisman, has dropped its last two games, falling last week 28-17 at Northwestern.
