We urge voters in McHenry County's District 5 to join us in voting for Paula Yensen. When MCDOT informed us about the proposed rehabilitation of Fleming Road, we contacted Paula, a member of the transportation committee. She attended the meetings of the Fleming Road Citizens Advisory Group, studied the material and asked questions. We and others talked to Paula and presented our views on the need to repair Fleming in its current footprint and profile.
Paula promptly returned emails and phone calls, listened to our concerns, and supported our request for a repair of Fleming estimated to cost $750,000 instead of the up to $6 million rehabilitation that MCDOT had proposed.
For over two years we have attended many of the transportation committee meetings and observed Paula repeatedly emphasize the necessity of being responsive to constituents and of being fiscally responsible.
