The Canadian National Railroad will close the railroad crossing on Diamond Lake Road near Route 60 for two days starting at 6 a.m. Nov. 7, Mundelein officials announced. Diamond Lake Road should reopen to traffic on the evening of Thursday, Nov. 8. The tracks are going to be adjusted at the recently rebuilt crossing. Motorists can use Route 60/83, Route 60 and Route 45 as detours.
