Naperville firefighters probing cause of house blaze

Naperville firefighters are trying to determine what sparked a blaze that caused roughly $375,000 damage when it swept through a house early Sunday morning on the 200 block of Willoway Drive.

No one was home at the time of the blaze and no injuries were reported.

Authorities said they received numerous calls at 12:01 a.m. Sunday from neighbors reporting a fire at the back and on the roof of the two-story house.

The first units arrived five minutes later to find the fire consuming the entire roof, attic and rear of the house. The blaze was brought under control in 45 minutes, but crews remained on the scene significantly longer.

Naperville’s Fire Investigation Team continues to probe the cause of the blaze. The house has been declared uninhabitable.
