Open house on Metra plans:
A public open house is scheduled for 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 8 at the Grayslake village hall, 10 S. Seymour Ave., regarding Metra’s new strategic plan. The open house is part of a second round of meetings being held by the commuter rail agency to allow the public to comment on near-term budget plans, as well as longer-term strategic direction. The meeting will include a public hearing on the fiscal year 2013 Metra proposed program and budget and an open house on the strategic plan.
