Chat with arts community members Nov. 2

Join the Arlington Heights Arts Commission for “Art Chat,” a lively presentation by three local arts professionals at 6:30 p.m., Friday, Nov. 2, at the village hall, third floor, 33 S. Arlington Heights Road, Arlington Heights.

Learn what’s happening in the arts community from Denise Rippinger of Corporate Artworks, Dennis Quijano of Paper Crown Gallery and Kathy Umlauf of the Northwest Cultural Council. Also meet Jason Kuhl, the new executive director of the Arlington Heights Memorial Library.

The program will open with a performance by The Limelight Singers from the School of the Metropolis Performing Arts Centre. In addition, the Arts Commission will present the 2012 Cultural Arts Award to local artist Jack Musich.

This event is free.

Networking begins at 6:30 p.m., with light refreshments. Bring your business cards. The program starts at 7 p.m.
