Mark Kuhlmann of Aurora was walking at the Morton Arboretum in Lisle when he came upon a setting of oranges and reds that he says created a "surreal scene."

Mike Long of Oak Brook also captured an image of the season -- water drops on a leaf -- during a Sunday morning walk with his dog, Molly.

Steve Jacobs had to travel a little farther for his picture of the New York City skyline as he returned from a Disney cruise.
