About this Article

Pace bus operator Michael Brown of Des Plaines actually does whistle while he works. If you ride his route along Touhy Avenue through Park Ridge, Skokie and Evanston, you know he's one of the friendliest guys around. "I want passengers to get off the bus in a better mood than when they got on," said Brown, a 26-year veteran driver.
