Antioch Rescue Squad treasurer charged in theft from agency

John Edgell, the former treasurer of the Antioch Rescue Squad, has been charged with felony theft after stealing more than $10,000 from the troubled agency, authorities said. Edgell is due in bond court Saturday morning. If convicted, he faces three to seven years in prison and up to a $25,000 fine.
