I have been a resident of Buffalo Grove for the past 35 years. And, for the most part, I have been very satisfied with the village and the board that governs it.
But, in the last two years that satisfaction has turned into a disdain for the village president and his merry band of trustees. I am embarrassed to live in a village that continually makes the headlines of the Daily Herald for actions taken by its board, from the recall of Trustee Stone to the current attempt to recall the entire board.
I agree with this effort and support it wholeheartedly. The village has become the laughingstock of the state and the other 600+ villages within it.
I have not spoken to one resident of the village that supports the proposed Town Center. If the residents don’t want it, how can the board proceed as if it is the panacea for all the ills the village might have?
What happened to the “good ol’ days” when village meetings were consumed with lengthy needless debate on how high fences can be or the size of a sign in front of a mall or on the outside of a restaurant?
