Benet dismisses Providence

Brittany Pavich and Cara Mattaliano each had 6 kills, and No. 1 Benet beat Providence 26-24, 25-21 on Thursday in Lisle. Hannah Kaminsky had 22 assists, Rachel Fara and Nicki Barnes 4 kills each and Sheila Doyle 5 digs for the Redwings (33-2, 7-2 East Suburban Catholic).

Naperville Central d. West Chicago:

The No. 6 Redhawks (27-8, 12-2 DuPage Valley Conference) rolled 25-16, 25-8 behind Alysia Baznik's 8 kills, 4 digs and 2 blocks and Sammy Condon's 5 kills and 2 blocks.

Naperville North d. Glenbard North:

Destiny Wade had 4 kills and 5 digs and Stephanie Tobison 3 kills and 7 digs for the Panthers in a 25-15, 25-18 loss to the No. 9 Huskies.

WW South d. Wheaton North:

Kendra Arenkill had 6 kills and 4 digs and Amanda Mordacq 5 kills and 4 blocks for the Falcons (10-16, 6-8 DVC) in their 25-19, 25-17 loss. Sarah Fiala chipped in 7 assists and 7 digs.

Batavia d. Metea Valley:

Kristen Koncelik had 13 kills -- 7 in the third set -- and 6 blocks as the Bulldogs (19-16) beat Metea 26-24, 19-25, 25-9. For Metea (15-9) Kaylyn Torain had 7 kills and Ellie Petersen 19 assists and 8 digs.

Addison Trail d. Elgin:

Sabrina Muell had 4 kills, 11 digs and 2 aces, carrying the Blazers past Elgin 25-14, 25-16. Devin Fruzyna contributed 16 digs and 2 aces, Christina Capuani 6 digs, 10 assists and 2 aces and Viviana Hernandez 3 kills, 5 digs and 3 aces for Addison Trail (18-11).

Downers Grove North d. Willowbrook:

Katherine Mahlke had 9 kills and Abby Crane set 12 assists for the Trojans (14-16) in their 25-17, 25-16 win.

Wheaton Academy d. IMSA:

Bianca Cifaldi and Brianna Tellschow each had 4 kills, Tellschow serving 5 aces in the Warriors' 25-6, 25-10 win. Sarah McClain set 10 assists for Wheaton Academy (28-7).
