Night life events: It's the season for pumpkin margaritas

Pumpkin margaritas

Fall means an invasion of pumpkin-flavored goodies — including Barrio Urban Taqueria's pumpkin margarita. The unlikely mixture is a shaken silver tequila, orange liqueur, pumpkin purée and cinnamon topped with whipped cream and garnished with a cinnamon stick and graham cracker crusted rim. The pumpkin margarita is available at lunch or dinner through Oct. 31 for $9 each.

Montrose Room presents

Catch Local H at the Montrose Room at 8 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 21. At the bar, cool off with $5 Half Acre beers and $5 select mixed drinks. Or try the signature martinis served in glasses made of ice for $9-$12. General admission is $15.

Wine party, Hugo's style

There's a wine party at Hugo's Frog Bar and Fish House every month. Catch the October event from 6:30 to 9 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 23. The evening includes tastings of wines from New Zealand, Italy, Argentina and California, as well as paired appetizers. Guests take home a special bottle of wine from the tasting. $45 per person, all inclusive.
