The Arlington Heights Fire Department will host its annual Open House from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 13 at Fire Station No. 2, 1150 N. Arlington Heights Road.
Visitors can view firefighter living quarters at the station, examine fire and ambulance vehicles up close, see tower rescue equipment, and learn the use of fire gear and apparatus. There will be fun and educational activities for children and families.
The open house is being held in conjunction with Fire Prevention Week to give the community an opportunity to ask questions, speak to fire department personnel, and receive important fire safety literature. For more information, visit vah.org.
