A large shed caught fire Friday in Wheeling, causing some $20,000 worth of damage, authorities said.
The blaze broke out at an asphalt maintenance contractor's yard at 165 Hinz Road about 5 p.m., according to Battalion Chief John Baumgartner of the Wheeling Fire Department.
Baumgartner said the 10-by-30-foot shed contained "common materials" that sustained fire damage. An asphalt truck next to the shed also sustained minor damage. The fire was brought under control in about 20 minutes.
No injuries were reported.
A cause of the fire wasn't immediately known, and Baumgartner said authorities would continue to investigate.
