In response to Mr. Fredrick’s letter to the editor published Sept. 27, I’d like to offer up another reason to further motivate him to vote in November.
You apparently believe that by trash talking the other candidate/party using worn out talking points and half-truths taken from websites and nakedly partisan cable shows, your vote becomes more informed relative to the constructive dialogue needed to solve the fiscal and employment disaster that we have so creatively developed over these past decades.
Thoughtfully consider that every moment spent listening to one side trash the other is time taken from vetting potential solutions. Vacuous diatribes might be sporty, and there is certainly no shortage of them on either cable television or in the print media. But they are hardly the stuff of constructive ideas and we should take care not to spend so much time absorbing such pernicious horse hockey.
