The Harper College women’s volleyball team defeated College of DuPage 25-15, 25-20, 25-23 in Glen Ellyn on Thursday, getting a milestone victory for its coach in the process.
The win was No. 300 for Bob Vilsoet, now in his 11th season leading the Hawks.
Harper is 27-9 overall and in second place in the North Central Community College Conference.
Harper sophomore outside hitter Sara House (Crystal Lake South) led the Harper attack against COD with 9 kills and 6 digs. Sopohmore setter Kelly Sommer (Buffalo Grove) had a solid contribution, going 9-for-10 at the service line with 2 aces; she also had a stellar night defensively with 8 digs and set her teammates up for 20 kills.
