Board member’s actions hurt Dist. 46

To anyone who has been following the battles in Grayslake Elementary District 46 over the last few years, Michael Carbone’s latest antics will come as no shock. His angry outburst at school secretaries over his resistance to paying the registration fees for his daughter’s school enrollment are pretty typical of his behavior for his three painfully long years on the board.

After witnessing and watching video streams of D46 board of education meetings, I continue to be appalled by his behavior: frequent name calling, questionable accusations, and heated exchanges with anyone who disagrees with him.

Similar behavior got him censured in the past and now he is the subject of an investigation for his alleged bullying and verbal abuse of school staff.

District 46 has no need for his tantrums, rages and red herrings. Mr. Carbone has nothing constructive to offer the citizens and children of District 46. Mr. Carbone, grow up and move on, Pretty please?
