PumpkinFest in downtown Libertyville is kid friendly
The Libertyville Junior Woman’s Club will present PumpkinFest 2012 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 13, in downtown Libertyville.
Activities include Touch the Trucks on Church Street from 10 a.m. until noon, sponsored by the Cook Memorial Library District, and entertainment provided by Improv Playhouse/Music Now DJ and Dance Academy of Libertyville.
Attendees will receive a free pumpkin (sponsored by the Sunrise Rotary and Mickey Finn’s) in exchange for a canned food donation to the Libertyville Township Food Pantry.
Pumpkin painting and other kids’ crafts will be available in Cook Park, and various local businesses along Milwaukee Avenue will provide activities as well.
Look for volunteers handing out bright orange maps to see what each store is offering.
