Blues concert at Greenbelt

Hear blues songs and stories from “Barrelhouse” Chuck Goering of Libertyville on Oct. 11 from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Greenbelt Cultural Center. The concert also features blues guitarist Billy Flynn. This intimate performance, with a cash bar, features “Barrelhouse” Chuck sharing songs and stories learned on the trail of blues he traveled from the southern states to Chicago’s South Side. The concert is open only to ages 17 and older. Concertgoers 21 and older with proper identification may purchase alcohol. Cost is $7 for residents ($9 for non-residents). Tickets are available for purchase at the Center open Tuesday through Friday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., at the door, by phone at (847) 968-3477, or online at GreenbeltCulturalCenter.org. The Greenbelt Cultural Center is at 1215 Green Bay Road, North Chicago.
