Family kite fly in Antioch

A family kite flying event will be held from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 6 at the Tim Osmond Sports Complex, 96 E. Depot St., Antioch. Sponsored by the village and Chicago Kite, the event features 25-foot to 50-foot kites on display. Members of Chicago Kite will fly stunt kites and provide tips and tricks. The first 100 children will receive a free kits and a drawing for additional kites will be held. Kites are available for purchase at the event for those who don't have one, or participants can bring their own and join the fun.
