Grant wins big: At Cooks Park, Grant not only got wins over Lakes (22-34) and Wauconda (15-46), the Bulldogs also won the North Suburban Conference Prairie Division with a 6-0 record. Peter Audrain of Grant took second place with a 16:03 while Ryan Prais of Lakes won the race with a 15:58. Austin Pequeno was Wauconda’s top finisher. He got ninth with a 17:28.
Vernon Hills d. Antioch: Led by Nicholas Webber, Vernon Hills swept the top three spots at Fox River Park in a 22-34 win over Antioch. Webber logged at 17:13.47 while teammates Ben Mohrdieck and Kyle Whitney finished just behind at 17:16.38 and 17:16.64 respectively. Anthony Formella was Antioch’s top finisher. He took fourth place with a 17:27.36.
