Family research expert to offer tips:

At 7 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 16 at the Aspen Drive Library, 701 Aspen Drive, Vernon Hills, Maureen Brady will demonstrate the powerful uses of FamilySearch.org. The free website provides family history researchers with access to original historical records from around the world, indexes linked directly to many of those records, an ever-growing genealogical “encyclopedia”, instructional videos and more. Brady will provide a “tour” of the website, discuss search strategies and examine the future of the site. Registration is required. Call (847) 362-2330 or visit webres.cooklib.org to register.
