Meet the candidates in Round Lake Beach:

The Round Lake Area Public Library and the League of Women Voters will host a meet-the-candidates event on Sunday, Oct. 7. Candidates in several county, state and federal races will be on hand to introduce themselves to potential voters and answer questions. The event is set for 1 p.m. at the Round Lake Beach Cultural and Civic Center, 2007 N. Civic Center Way, Round Lake Beach. The event will be broadcast live on WRLR 98.3-FM and at wrlr.fm. Candidates who have confirmed attendance include: U.S. Rep. Robert Dold; 31st Senate District candidates Melinda Bush and Joe Neal; 62nd state House hopeful Sam Yingling; and Lake County Board candidates Dale Kehr, Tom Weber, Patricia Ferruzza and Pat Carey.
