Keep opinions to the Opinion page

Jim Slusher, the editor of the Daily Herald’s Opinion page, has previously contended that there is no media bias, including his paper in the innocent status. Just as beauty is in the eye of the beholder, political bias can be attributed to whether or not we agree with what is printed. However, printing the full version of President Obama’s interview, which included the term “redistribution of wealth,” should have been on the Opinion page instead of on Page 14 of your paper.

Included in the article was an explanation by The Washington Post analyst as to why we should disregard the statement made by Obama citing the length of time which has elapsed since the interview was given. I must have missed the defense of passage of time when applied to Mitt Romney’s high school “bullying” incident.

Everyone has a right to an opinion as long as it is printed on the Opinion page.
