About this Article
Forty-three dead animals, mostly cats but also squirrels, birds, opossums and other animals, were found in a van parked in the yard of an Elgin man this week, according to court records. William Tinkler, 60, is due in court on Nov. 2 on animal cruelty charges. Authorities also have moved to seize the four living cats that were taken from his rented home. They are being cared for at an animal shelter where officials say the cats have fleas and respiratory virus but otherwise are in good health.Latest Galleries
