Offended by Obama sign trashing

Those who do not support the re-election of President Obama in my community just don’t know how to play fair. Apparently, they feel a need to vandalize private property to get their political message across and to vent their frustrations over the democratic electoral process and the Bill of Rights.

This past weekend my small lawn sign supporting President Obama was vandalized in a thuggish sort of way. The perpetrator(s) must have trespassed on my property in the night or early morning and destroyed this sign with a razor sharp tool.

This is childish, hostile and intimidating. Evidently, those who did it must be deficient in the civility, sophistication and respect required of good citizenship.

I’ve lived in Glen Ellyn for 37 years and in those 37 years I’ve never experienced impolite behavior of this sort in my neighborhood.
