Free portraits for military families in Arlington Heights

Military families looking for the perfect holiday present to send to their loved one overseas can pose for a new family photo for free this fall in Arlington Heights.

The Arlington Camera Club Inc. is partnering with the Christian Church of Arlington Heights to take family portraits of families who have members serving overseas.

Families will receive a CD of the images so they can send the pictures by email anywhere in the world.

Free portraits will be taken in 15-minute intervals from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday Nov. 3 at the Christian Church of Arlington Heights, 333 W. Thomas Ave.

Reservations are required. Call (847) 404-9434 to schedule a time.

“The memories captured in these portraits will mean a great deal to our troops overseas,” said Greg Padovani, chairman of the Veterans Memorial Committee in Arlington Heights.
