Post-punk heroes

Mission of Burma continues to write one of the most successful second acts in recent rock history. The band burst out of the Boston scene in the 1980s with an angular, punk-inspired sound that paired noise with melody. Burma released two groundbreaking records before disbanding in the middle part of the decade when guitarist Roger Miller developed a case of tinnitus. Flash forward nearly 20 years to 2002, when the band re-formed and released the first in a slew of albums that are just as good as the old stuff. Barkapalooza
