Local Alpha Gamma Delta chapter wins two major awards

Delegates from the Northwest Suburban Alumnae Club of Alpha Gamma Delta, Patricia Smith, Carol Mosse and Sarah Hughes, represented the club at the International Convention held in St. Louis in July — where they picked up the two highest awards for alumnae clubs.

The Outstanding Alumnae Achievement Award and Outstanding Community Service Award are presented biennially.

This group of Alpha Gamma Delta Alumnae supports the Samuel A. Kirk School in Palatine with the Kirk Showcase of Arts and Crafts; the Advocate Lutheran General Hospital Pediatric Department; Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (the Ron Santo Walk to Cure Diabetes), the Alpha Gamma Delta Foundation and other local charities.

More than 600 alumnae and collegiate members gathered to recognize and reward outstanding achievement. The Alpha Gamma Delta fraternity was founded at Syracuse University in 1904.
