Two Libertyville review panels on Monday approved measures that could bring a new grocery store to town. The village's plan commission voted to rezone about 3 acres and the zoning board of appeals approved sign and landscape requirements for the property at 1600 S. Milwaukee Ave. Paragon Real Estate LLC of Oak Brook wants to develop a 12,450-square-foot specialty grocery store and a multi-tenant building. The name of the store has not been released but village officials consider it a potentially substantial development. A $10 million Fresh Foods grocery store was proposed several years ago for the former Frank's Nursery & Crafts site. Building began but stalled and the site was eventually cleared.
