Lindenhurst to flush water mains:
Lindenhurst will conduct its semiannual water main flushing program beginning Oct. 1, depending on the weather. The process will be performed from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday through Friday and continue until all mains in the village have been flushed. Residents are urged to refrain from doing laundry during this time to avoid staining. Signs will be posted in each area before the start of flushing. The process is expected be complete by Oct. 31.
