Man with gun robs Elgin store, ties up employees

This armed robber on Thursday ordered two T-Mobile store employees to the back of the Elgin store and tied them together, police said.

A man brandishing a handgun tied up two employees of a T-Mobile store before stealing cellphones and money on Thursday, Elgin police said Friday. The armed robbery occurred about 1 p.m. at the store at 273 S. Randall Road. The suspect struck one of the employees with the gun and ordered both employees to the back of the store where they were tied together, police said.
