Mount Prospect residents upset with zoning change

Mount Prospect village board members Tuesday annexed ARC Disposal properties on Busse Road that were under county zoning. The village attached conditions based on concerns of owners of adjacent apartment buildings, but not enough to allay their concerns.

Owners of apartments across the street from ARC Disposal on Busse Road were unhappy Tuesday night that the Mount Prospect the village board didn't attach stricter conditions when it annexed and rezoned the properties into a new industrial solid waste handling district. "We have approximately 3,300 people across the street, on the west side of Busse Road," said Nancy Comita, one of the owners.
