Candidate's Key Issues

Key Issue 1

Transparency in Government On any issue that comes to the Board for approval there must be a complete and thorough understanding of all sides of the issue. Insure that all facts are accurate, and unbiased. All board members must present a complete disclosure of properties and ownerships.

Key Issue 2

I will advocate bike trails throughout the county, not only for recreation but for commuting.

I will promote the construction of "Round-Abouts" where ever possible. Once people understand the concept, and see the savings in time, gas, polution, etc. they will accept the idea as good.

McHenry County has managed the recession without a budgetary crisis like those in other counties. How do you ensure the county continues on that path and that reserves aren?t depleted? Are there specific budget areas that need more attention?

Absolutey! There must be true disclosure.

Assess McHenry County?s efforts thus far in terms of groundwater preservation and protection. What needs to be done now and in the future?

I think it has been good. What we need to explore is water run-off from parking lots. Initiate grasses to absorb the run-off.

Assess how the county health department approached the whooping cough outbreak. What should have been done differently?

Our own health is first and last a personal responsiblity.
