The driver of an SUV crashed through the front window of a beauty salon in Wheeling Friday morning and struck an employee, authorities said.
The crash occurred at 9:15 a.m. at Olivia’s Beauty Salon, 16 W. Dundee Road, according to Battalion Chief Steve Kosick of the Wheeling Fire Department.
The employee, identified as a woman in her 30s, was taken to Advocate Condell Medical Center in Libertyville. The extent of her injuries was unknown.
The driver of a 2011 Oldsmobile Bravada might have been patronizing one of other businesses near the beauty salon, Kosick said.
It’s unclear if the driver was issued citations.
Wheeling police did not release additional details late Friday.
