Sente can get things done in Springfield

I want to take a moment to outline why I am supporting the re-election of Carol Sente to the Illinois House of Representative from the 59th District.

Carol is engaged in a race against an opponent who formerly represented a completely different district in the Illinois House, which leads me to the primary reasoning for my strong support of Carol. Carol has represented our district for her entire political career and understands what is important to us.

She has worked hard on keeping our taxes low and getting bipartisan support in passing her bill into law to hold state government accountable by requiring performance based budgeting, eliminating waste by requiring an accounting of where all the money is spent.

She also worked with the House leadership to get important bills passed to improve safety in our schools and parks. Because of her working relationship with the majority leadership, she is able to get things done for us in Springfield. And the real funny thing is, Carol also has the ability to work across the aisle because of her fiscally sound values, which was echoed by the comparable rating she received in relation to her opponent, that was given by the independent conservative group United Republican Fund.

I don’t know about you, but I want my state rep to be able to get things done and not just be a member of a minority caucus that at best tilts at windmills and complains, getting nothing done.

Please join me and support Carol Sente for re-election as our state representative from the 59th District.
