Delnor, Central DuPage get new leaders

Cadence Health has picked Delnor Hospital’s new president from within Cadence’s ranks.

And the former chief executive officer of Berwyn-based Vanguard MacNeal Health System is now Central DuPage Hospital’s president.

Robert Friedberg and Brian Lemon will both also serve as executive vice presidents of Cadence Health, the company created in the 2011 merger of Geneva-based Delnor and Central DuPage, which is in Winfield.

The appointments were announced by Michael V. Vivoda, CEO of Cadence Health.

Friedberg was executive vice president of system operations and integrated services for Cadence Health, and chief operating officer of Delnor Hospital. He replaces Thomas Wright, who retired earlier this year. Friedberg joined Central DuPage in 2004.

Lemon replaces Vivoda, who became CEO in April. He was with Vanguard MacNeal since 2006. He was also president and CEO of Holy Cross Hospital in Chicago.
