White Sox vs. Minnesota Twins at Target Field

TV: Comcast SportsNet Friday and Sunday; Channel 9 Saturday

Radio: WSCR 670-AM

Pitching matchups: The White Sox’ Chris Sale (16-6) vs. Esmerling Vasquez (0-1) Friday at 7:10 p.m.; Jose Quintana (6-4) vs. Samuel Deduno (6-3) Saturday at 12:10 p.m.; Jake Peavy (10-11) vs. TBA Sunday at 1:10 p.m.

At a glance: The White Sox are 11-4 against the Twins this season (4-2 at Target Field). They used to struggle against Minnesota, but the Sox have won 20 of their last 27 vs. the Twins. Francisco Liriano is back out of the rotation again because of the rainout. He pitched in relief Tuesday night and failed to retire any of the three Detroit hitters he faced. Cole De Vries (5-5) was scheduled to start for the Twins on Sunday, but he’s out for the season with a broken rib. Joe Mauer (back) has missed three straight games.

Next: Kansas City Royals, Tuesday-Thursday at Kauffman Stadium
