"Snow White & The Huntsman"
This dark, exciting retelling of the classic tale features lots of special effects and outstanding cinematography. Charlize Theron is the backbone of the film as the evil age-defying Queen Ravenna. She murders her husband, and the kingdom goes into a state of despair. The Queen wants to live forever, so she takes the hearts and souls from young women to maintain her youth. Aging, however, isn't her only worry. Warned by a magic mirror of the threat posed by her stepdaughter Snow White (Kristen Stewart), the Queen has the young woman imprisoned in the dungeon. After a period of time, Snow White escapes and heads to the forest.
The Queen sends the huntsman (Chris Hemsworth) to capture Snow White. When he does find Snow White, however, the huntsman has a change of heart and teaches her the art of war. The film features some intense battle scenes in this tale of good vs. evil.
