ESPN3 to carry NIU-Kansas football game

Northern Illinois’ home game versus Kansas on Sept. 22 will kick off at 2:30 p.m. (CT) and will be streamed online at ESPN3, Mid-American Conference officials announced Monday.

With the determination that the Kansas game will be broadcast on ESPN3, five of Northern Illinois’ seven home games this season have been selected as ESPN productions. In addition to the Kansas game, NIU’s contest versus Central Michigan on Sept. 29 has been designated as an ESPN3 game, while NIU’s homecoming game versus Buffalo on Oct. 13 will air on Comcast SportsNet Chicago.

The Northern Illinois-Toledo contest on Wednesday, Nov. 14 will kick off at 8 p.m. (CT) and will be seen on either ESPN2 or ESPNU.

The game versus Kansas is the Huskies’ next home game. On Saturday, NIU (1-1) travels to West Point, N.Y., to face Army. The NIU-Army game will air on the CBS Sports Network beginning at 11 a.m. (CT).
