Photo showed poor judgment all around

I was not only shocked but very surprised that the Daily Herald would have a photo of an individual jumping into Lake Michigan (“Your Images,” Sept. 2).

It appears that the man has no life preserver on at the time he jumped, and it is quite a distance from the shoreline. With so many people who have drowned recently in Lake Michigan, it seems that he is careless and setting a very poor example for those on his boat as well as readers who see this picture.

The Daily Herald should not even consider placing a photo like that in your paper or give them an award for photography, as it appears to condone the poor action of this individual.
