Leaving the state only solution left

Instead of meaningful, desperately needed pension reform, Speaker Michael Madigan thinks that he can solve the problem by reallocating financial responsibility among various municipalities with the state. This saves zero dollars for Illinois. It’s sad to see that he has duped Gov. Pat Quinn into espousing the same self-defeating philosophy.

It’s amazing and dispiriting to realize that Speaker Madigan thinks that we’re actually that stupid. But, again, how could he not after experiencing years of mindless support from his constituency? In the face of financial disaster for Illinois, the inept arrogance of our leaders and the mind-numbing allegiance of their constituents lead us to no other solution than to follow the lead of several businesses and move out of state. Wisconsin looks pretty good.
