By

Camilla Ou kept sinking birdie putts, and Libertyville’s girls golf team finally sunk nemesis Stevenson on Wednesday.

Stevenson’s Stephanie Miller earned medalist honors by shooting a 34 on Willow Glen’s layout, but host Libertyville’s 165 was good for a three-shot victory in the North Suburban Conference match.

The Wildcats (6-0 NSC) were paced by Ou’s 36, which included 3 birdies. Libertyville also received a 41 from Lauren Dohse, a 43 from Izzy Alesna and a 45 from Paige Webb. Dohse also had a birdie.

Nikki Marquardt had a 39 for Stevenson (168).

Mundelein d. Vernon Hills: Courteney Fabbri fired a 43, as the Mustangs carded a 182 on Countryside’s Traditional course to defeat Vernon Hills (208).

Holly Gotlund (45), Lorrielle Martin (46), Christina Loverde (48) and Hannah Thompson (49) also turned in solid scores for Mundelein.

Vernon Hills was led by Jenny Park’s 48.

Lake Forest d. Grant: At Antioch Golf Club, Paige Skinner’s 40 led the Scouts (170).

Sadie Contreras had a 63 for Grant (266).

Carmel goes 1-2 in ESCC quad: At Old Orchard Country Club in Mount Prospect, St. Viator shot a winning 180, followed by Benet Academy (189), which edged Carmel Catholic (190). Fenwick had a 220 in the East Suburban Catholic Conference quad.

Carmel had solid play again from freshmen Kayla Ryan (team-best 45) and Alexa Amato (47), who have been “playing well and very steady all season,” coach Jill Franz said. Carmel is 3-2 in ESCC play and 7-3 overall.
